Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Third Shift on the PAC-3 program in Camden, NJ. You will design and improve manufacturing processes, and provide engineering support to production to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities include tooling development, CAD design using Creo/SolidWorks, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve manufacturing issues and implement new processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• The ability to translate technical drawings and specifications into practical manufacturing instructions is essential.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
• Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly.
• Competent with bill of materials (BoMs) and Indentured Parts Lists (IPL).
• Ability to work Third Shift.

Responsibilities

• Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
• Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.
• Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.
