Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead DFMA aspects of product design and oversee manufacturing workflow planning. You will mentor junior engineers and apply broad manufacturing knowledge to ensure robust processes and on-time production.

Requirements include a BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years of fabrication experience, ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and U.S. citizenship. Salary range is $120k–$155k per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree
• Minimum 6 years relevant industry experience
• Hands-on fabrication/assembly shop experience and strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams
• Proficiency in GD&T
• U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Includes Manufacturing Engineering I, II and III duties and responsibilities
• Integral part of product design team leading DFMA aspects of product design
• Applies broad knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices
• Mentors junior manufacturing engineers
• Is subject matter expert on DFMA and statistical process controls for monitoring process robustness
• Oversees material and resource planning and coordination to ensure schedules are kept
• Responsible for manufacturing workflow planning, resource planning and production line capacity with planned forecasts
• Solves complex technical problems to keep product design, development and production moving forward
• Oversees process qualification along with product qualification

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for;

Qualifications;

• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, or equivalent degree
• Minimum 6 years relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude required and hands-on engineering experiencein a fabrication and assembly shop environment
• Ability to read and generate blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams
• Familiarity with basic material properties, in process verification and validation
• Must be proficient in GD&T
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary Range: $120k-$155k

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
