Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Aerospace / Lean Manufacturing
On-site in Chandler, AZ
Target salary range: $83,400- $155,000
Responsibilities
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, throughput, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and facilitate Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities while coaching Engineering and Quality teams on PFMEA best practices.
- Partner with Design Engineering to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles, optimize manufacturing processes, and support successful product introductions.
- Identify and implement automation and advanced manufacturing opportunities to improve process capability and reduce cycle time.
- Analyze manufacturing and production data to identify trends, reduce defects, and improve process performance.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing standards, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Lead cross-functional manufacturing improvement projects involving Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Engineering.
- Support engineering changes, process validation activities, and production readiness.
- Mentor and develop Manufacturing Engineers through technical coaching, training, and engineering leadership.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and PFMEA methodologies.
- Experience collaborating with Design Engineering on DFM and manufacturing process optimization.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Visual Manufacturing or similar ERP/MES systems, and CAD software; SolidWorks is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives without direct supervisory authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- SolidWorks experience.
