Moog is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the East Aurora/Buffalo, NY area. This onsite role reports to the Sr.

Performance Leader - Manufacturing Engineering and focuses on welding process design, tooling optimization, and collaboration with multiple teams to ensure efficient, quality manufacturing. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering with extensive manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in CNC programming and process documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of welding processes, tooling design, and quality control methods.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement welding processes that meet quality and cost objectives.
• Team with Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly & Test and other departments to optimize product designs & fixturing for weldability.
• Collaborate with outside vendors/machine shop to identify source of supply for the manufacturing of the design.
• Work with the proposal group to provide process, time estimates & fixturing needs.
• Develop and maintain accurate process documentation and CNC programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Drive process improvements using lean principles and advanced welding technologies.
• Training & mentoring to technically guide tool designers and manufacturing engineers.

Our SDG team in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will report directly to the Sr. Performance Leader - Manufacturing Engineering and enjoy a collaborative working environment that offers an onsite work schedule.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement welding processes that meet quality and cost objectives.

To be considered for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 5 or more years of relevant experience; or an Associate degree in a technical field with 9 or more years of relevant experience; or 13 or more years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of welding processes, tooling design, and quality control methods.
• Strong analytical, continuous improvement and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and process documentation

It would be great if you also had:

• Electron beam and orbital welding processing experience is a plus!
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $95,000.00-$125,000.00 Annually
