ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer to validate POS tax calculations and ensure quality across POS, payment, back-office, and reporting systems.

The role focuses on manual testing of tax scenarios in a retail environment, requiring strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. This onsite position is based in Seattle, WA, and uses Jira/Azure DevOps for defect tracking.

Qualifications

• Manual QA testing experience in retail POS apps.

• Knowledge of state/county/city tax calculations, exemptions, holidays.
• Experience testing POS transaction flows (sales, refunds, discounts).
• Proficiency with defect-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute manual test cases for POS tax functionality.
• Validate tax calculations across federal, state, local jurisdictions.
• Test tax scenarios for drinks, food, merchandise, gift cards, and digital goods.
• Verify tax behavior with discounts, promos, and loyalty rewards.
• Perform end-to-end testing across POS, payments, back-office, and reporting systems.

Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Manual QA Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the testing and validation of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range: 42 W2

What's the Job?

• Develop, review, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for POS tax calculation functionality.
• Validate U.S. sales tax calculations across federal, state, county, city, and special jurisdictions.
• Test tax scenarios involving beverages, food items, merchandise, gift cards, and digital transactions.
• Verify tax behavior for discounts, promotions, coupons, loyalty rewards, and tender-specific transactions.
• Perform end-to-end testing across POS, payment processing, back-office, and reporting systems.

What's Needed?

• Manual QA testing experience, particularly with retail POS applications.
• Hands-on experience validating U.S. sales tax calculations and ensuring tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of state, county, city, and district tax calculations, exemptions, and holidays.
• Experience testing POS transaction flows including sales, refunds, exchanges, voids, and discounts.
• Proficiency with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
