State of Wyoming is seeking a Managing Attorney in the Civil Division to lead a team of assistant attorneys general, oversee high-stakes litigation, and shape legal strategy for state agencies while maintaining predictable hours and a strong quality of life.

As a senior leader, you will mentor staff, supervise case work, draft opinions, review agency rules, and work closely with agency leaders to ensure effective legal counsel across Wyoming.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Requires membership in the State Bar of Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to state agencies daily.
• Supervise attorneys and paralegals, assign cases.
• Oversee high-stakes trial and appellate litigation.
• Draft legal documents and agency rules.
