Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Office Space Planning & Construction function in the United States. You will align workplace strategy with business growth, drive portfolio optimization, and manage hybrid work implementations across the office portfolio.

You will oversee space utilization analytics, establish KPI reporting, and ensure projects meet brand standards, scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with contractors and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar certification.
• Willingness to travel (20–40%).
• Experience leading space planning, facilities management, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Owns the long-range workplace and space planning strategy, including footprint optimization and hybrid work impacts.
• Oversees space utilization analytics, KPIs, and reporting to inform decisions at the executive level.
• Directs facilities construction, renovation, and project delivery from feasibility to closeout.
• Leads operational planning and budget management for the office portfolio.
• Serves as primary liaison with contractors, consultants, and development partners.
• Leads space planning staff, setting priorities and developing leadership capabilities.
