Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis expert to design core SLRs, ITCs and health economic models for HTA submissions.

You will collaborate across biostatistics, Clinical Development, HEOR and Medical Affairs to support pricing, reimbursement and market access strategies.

The role emphasizes communication of value, data-driven analyses, and cross-country evidence generation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health or related field.
• At least 3 years relevant experience in consultancy or pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills.
• Understanding of HTA, pricing, reimbursement and value assessment.
• Experience delivering submissions to HTA agencies is highly desirable.
• Skills in core capabilities of Value Analytics Center.

Responsibilities

• Develop core global SLRs, ITCs and Health Economic Models (HEMs) for HTA, payer and other assessments.
• Support affiliates with local adaptation of Global Models (ITCs, HEMs) and coordinate data requirements across functions.
• Contribute to the development of ITCs and HEMs to inform value proposition, development, pricing and strategic forecast.
• Share best practices and key learnings across affiliates and cross-functional partners.
• Join evidencemodelling teams across countries to source affiliate and stakeholder needs and co-create solutions.
• Join Value & Access Team (VAT) and other cross-functional teams as required.
• Use analytical techniques leveraging clinical data to inform pricing and market access strategy.
• Collaborate with Data and Statistical Sciences (DSS) team for trial analyses and HTA challenges.

Role is responsible for designing and executingevidence-synthesis, health economic models. Position applies methodological and analytical expertise to understand the value of AbbVie products and how best to demonstrate this. Role will strategically and effectivelycommunicate,and tailor generated evidence to multiple stakeholder audiences.

1. Develop core global Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR), Indirect Treatment Comparison (ITC) and Health Economic Models (HEM) for HTA, payer and other Access stakeholdersassessments,submissions and negotiations.

1. Support of affiliates with local adaption of the Global Models (ITC, HEM), coordinate data requirements across biostatistics and evidence generations functions (Clinical Development;HEORand Medical Affairs) to support Pricing & Reimbursement

1. Contribute to the development ofITCs and HEMs to informvalue proposition,development, pricing and commercial strategic forecast and decisions.

1. Share best practices and key learnings across affiliatesand cross-functional partners.

1. Joinevidencemodelling teams (cross-functional and multi countries)supportingthe evidencemodellingteam lead to source affiliate and other stakeholder needs and co-create solutions.

1. Collaborate with the Data and Statistical Sciences (DSS) team for trial analyses, HTA challenges, and statistical analyses of clinical trial data.

Qualifications

1. Advanced degree MS/MSc/Mphil/MPH (required) or PhD (preferred) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Econometrics, or other related field

1. At least3years relevant experience in consultancy or pharmaceutical industry

1. Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills

1. Understanding of both health economics and evidence-synthesis disciplines as relevant to HTA, pricing, reimbursement, and value assessment

1. Experience interacting with and/or delivering submissions to HTA agencies, or other payer or decision-making bodies is highly desirable.

1. Skills and experience within one of the following core capabilities of the Value Analytics Center

• Health economics

• economic modelling and budget impact analysis

• Working hands-on knowledge of EXCEL for the development of economic models and/or BIMs including VBA

• Evidence-synthesis

• DesigningSLR search strategies, conducting feasibility analysis for Indirect comparisons

• Critically appraise reporting of SLRsand ITC/NMAs

• Statistics

• HTA-relevant statistical methodologies, for example indirect treatment comparisons, survival analysis, or utility estimation.

• Working knowledge of statistical and data processing software (R preferred)
