Job description

Senior Manager, Value & Access Analytics – Cross Portfolio & Innovation
What You Will Do

The Senior Manager, Cross‑Portfolio & Innovation is responsible for driving innovations within the Value & Access (V&A) insights organization through best‑in‑class data and analytics approaches. The role will focus on leading cross‑portfolio initiatives that help transform and elevate our data & analytics strategy for the V&A insights team, which will help drive strategic decision intelligence for Amgen.

Working at the intersection of data expertise, advanced analytics, and strategic partnership, the role will identify, connect, and activate the full breadth of V&A data, spanning contracting, access, payer, patient, and market intelligence, to enable cross‑portfolio insights. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact position that requires both domain expertise and the strategic instinct to translate data & analytics into business outcomes. The position reports to the Director, Value & Access Insights.

  • Partner with the Value & Access Insights team to develop and own the V&A Insights data strategy, establishing a clear roadmap for how the team's data assets are connected, governed, and activated across the portfolio
  • Lead and shape the V&A data strategy, including anticipating and managing changes in data feeds driven by evolving policy changes and increasing adoption of net price–based contracting models
  • Identify gaps and redundancies across existing V&A data sources and develop a plan to close them
  • Design and implement data integration frameworks that enable innovative analytics across the portfolio
  • Partner with IT and other cross‑functional stakeholders to build scalable data infrastructure aligned to V&A's analytical needs
  • Work in close collaboration with Project Polaris to define and execute an integrated enterprise data strategy
  • In partnership with HEOR and CFoR teams, identify opportunities to enrich V&A datasets and enable access to new and emerging data sources that improve analytics and decision‑making capabilities
  • Champion data quality standards and governance practices that ensure V&A data assets are reliable and fit for strategic decision‑making
  • Communicate data strategy decisions and analytical findings with clarity and executive presence — adapting depth and framing to the audience, from data engineers to senior commercial leaders
  • Demonstrate deep working knowledge of the pharmaceutical data ecosystem relevant to V&A — including prescription data (e.g., IQVIA NPA), outlet data (e.g., IQVIA DDD), medical and pharmacy claims (e.g., Symphony Claims, IQVIA LAAD), and other internal and external sources such as MDH, formulary coverage, specialty pharmacy, and HUB data
  • Develop and maintain documentation of V&A data assets — ensuring the team has a shared, accurate understanding of what data exists, how it is structured, and how it should be used
