Job summary

SpectrumCareers seeks a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting to lead technical accounting, financial reporting, and key month-end close activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Experience working with external auditors and complex accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
• Research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions, including revenue recognition and share-based compensation.
• Monitor new accounting standards and assess business impacts.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and support external audits.
• Assist with SEC reporting readiness and SOX compliance.
• Manage lender reporting packages and covenant compliance.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Review accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Manage internal-use software capitalization under ASC 350-40.
• Perform fluctuation analyses and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, and business leaders to resolve accounting matters.
• Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across accounting and reporting functions.
• Improve financial close processes, controls, and scalability.
• Support system enhancements and accounting transformation projects.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting will lead technical accounting, financial reporting, and key month-end close activities. • Experience with NetSuite, FloQast, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or accounting automation tools.
