Qualifications

• Five to seven years of recent experience in public accounting, focusing on federal individual, fiduciary, and small business tax returns.
• Management experience in a CPA or tax practice, with ability to grow and develop associates.
• Active CPA or EA license is required.
• A master’s degree in taxation or MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage tax team members by sharing technical expertise and training.
• Work with wealth advisors to implement tax strategies aligning with client plans.
• Build strong client relationships through reliable tax advice and planning.
• Review and sign complex returns—individual, fiduciary, and small business.
• Coordinate tax planning activities including quarterly estimates, projections, and year-end strategies.

What You Will Do

• Support and manage tax team members by sharing technical expertise, assisting with training, and contributing to a collaborative learning environment
• Work alongside wealth advisors to help implement tax strategies that complement clients’ broader financial plans
• Build strong client relationships by providing reliable tax advice and being a consistent point of contact for planning and compliance needs
• Review and sign complex tax returns—individual, fiduciary, and small business—with attention to accuracy and alignment with client goals
• Assist in coordinating tax planning activities, including quarterly estimates, projections, and year-end strategies
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying efficiencies and supporting the adoption of new tools and workflows
• Communicate clearly and effectively through client emails, technical memos, and planning documents
• Promote collaboration between tax and wealth teams by fostering open communication and shared client understanding

What You Need To Have

• Five to seven (5-7) years of recent experience in public accounting, with a focus on preparing federal individual, fiduciary, and small business tax returns (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnerships).
• Management experience in a CPA or tax practice, with the demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates preferred.

The base annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000, plus, a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
