SUMMARY The Senior Manager, Talent Development is responsible for identifying and responding to the critical workforce requirements (skills, competencies, and performance outcomes) necessary to achieve current and future business results, design learning opportunities, and professional development programs to address talent needs to promote career development. Focuses on succession planning, leadership and team development, coaching, assessment, performance management, employee engagement, use of team and leadership tools/practices to lead leaders, teams, and organization to drive performance excellence.
The Senior Manager, Talent Development directly supervises the Talent Development and Instructional Design team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include leading efforts in the design of programs, lead, and drive development events, provide learning opportunities designed for associate growth of skills and knowledge, and foster a culture of learning and development.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Possess strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effective with different levels of the business via phone, written and in-person communication. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, stores, customers, clients, and the public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to think strategically, synthesize data, identify trends, and recommend viable solutions. Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
