Eaton is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development, to join our Corporate Development team in Beachwood, Ohio, with a hybrid work arrangement. You will lead select M&A transactions and corporate development projects, framing strategic rationale, directing valuation and due diligence, and coordinating cross-functional teams for executive-ready recommendations.

The role requires at least 7 years in corporate development or related fields, plus 3 years leading M&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of experience in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, consulting, PE, or corporate finance.
• 3+ years leading M&A transactions or related projects.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead smaller acquisitions end-to-end with strategy, valuation, due diligence, approvals, and transition planning.
• Serve as deputy deal lead on larger transactions, managing day-to-day execution.
• Frame strategic rationale, risks, and critical choices for potential transactions.
• Oversee valuation, modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence teams across finance, legal, tax, operations, IT, HR, and other functions.
• Take a lead role in negotiations on smaller transactions and support complex negotiations.
• Prepare and present executive-ready materials for senior leadership and Board discussions.
• Mentor junior team members and lead continuous improvement in Corporate Development.

Eaton is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development, to join our Corporate Development team. This position is based in Beachwood, Ohio, with a hybrid work arrangement available. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius of Beachwood. 20% travel is required for this role.Position OverviewThe primary function of this position is to lead select M&A transactions and corporate development projects and substantial portions of complex transactions with a high degree of autonomy. The Senior Manager will frame strategic rationale, direct valuation and due diligence, coordinate cross-functional teams, support negotiations, and develop executive-ready recommendations that shape some of Eaton’s most important growth and portfolio decisions.Essential Responsibilities• Lead smaller acquisitions end-to-end with minimal oversight, including strategy development, valuation, due diligence, internal approvals, negotiation support, and transition planning.• Serve as deputy deal lead on larger or more complex transactions, managing day-to-day execution and internal coordination.• Frame the strategic rationale, key risks, and critical choices for potential transactions in a clear, decision-oriented manner for business and corporate leadership.• Oversee valuation, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development, ensuring that assumptions and recommendations are rigorous and clearly linked to strategic and financial outcomes.• Lead cross-functional due diligence teams across finance, legal, tax, operations, IT, HR, and other functions; anticipate issues, drive timely resolution, and escalate material risks appropriately.• Take a lead role in negotiations on smaller transactions and support the Director or Vice President on complex negotiations by developing strategies, analyses, and data-driven positions on price, structure, and key terms.• Prepare and present executive-ready materials and recommendations for senior leadership and Board-level discussions, communicating complex issues with clarity, judgment, and increasing executive presence.• Strengthen Corporate Development capabilities through mentorship of junior team members, setting quality standards, sharing lessons learned, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, and/or corporate finance.• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading M&A transactions, due diligence workstreams, or corporate development projects.• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications• MBA or other advanced business degree.• 10 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, and/or corporate finance.• Strong knowledge of corporate development processes, including valuation, due diligence, negotiations, integration planning, and governance approvals.• Experience presenting recommendations and analyses to senior leadership.• Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transactions, and scenario analyses.• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment in complex environments.• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.• Experience mentoring and developing team members.All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
