Job summary

Universal Music Group is seeking a Senior Manager in Los Angeles to lead financial analysis, valuation, diligence, and transaction execution across M&A, catalog acquisitions, and growth investments. The role partners with VMG leaders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic opportunities in recorded music, publishing, and related businesses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in investment banking, corporate development, music IP or catalog investing, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting or strategy with a strong financial focus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and scenario assessments for M&A targets, catalog acquisitions, and growth investments.
• Manage discrete diligence workstreams including data requests, financial and commercial diligence, and synthesis of key findings.
• Prepare concise, executive-ready presentations and recommendations for senior management and VMG leaders.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Tax, Accounting and commercial teams to gather inputs and advance evaluations.
• Support post-transaction reviews and performance tracking against the investment case.
