Job summary

Salesforce seeks a senior engineering leader to manage software engineers in the Information Technology Application Engineering and Operations team. You will drive end-to-end management of tools, systems, and applications supporting Salesforce Finance and HR (Employee Success) systems.

You will collaborate across IT, Finance, and HR to scale and enhance platforms for Salesforce's continued growth, focusing on project delivery, governance, and continuous improvement in a global, time-zone-diverse

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering/ops with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering Finance/HR systems like Workday/PeopleSoft/Oracle EBS.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices and test automation.

The Experience

Salesforce seeks a talented, self-directed, technical leader to manage software engineers on the Information Technology Application Engineering and Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of tools, systems, and applications that support the Salesforce Finance and HR (Employee Success) systems. You will collaborate with many teams across Information Technology, Finance and Employee Success (HR) to scale and enhance systems for the unparalleled growth of Salesforce.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Hire and retain top engineering talent.
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Drive the implementation and adoption of best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery.
• Champion the utilization of MuleSoft and Workday integration solutions for Workday Financials or Workday HCM, leveraging its capabilities to streamline business processes and enhance efficiency.
• Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test automation strategies for Integrations and Workday Financials or Workday HCM, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status updates effectively.
• Occasional travel is involved.

You're Our Person If...

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering & operations, with a proven track record of leadership and project delivery in Finance and HR Systems such as Workday / Peoplesoft / Oracle EBS in end to end Hire to Retire cycle or Finance business processes
• Strong understanding of engineering management principles, including team leadership, performance management, and talent development
• Experience managing vendor partners and teams extended with contractors
• A keen eye for Innovation, Engineering / Operational Excellence, and Test Automation
• Worked on project delivery in Workday Human Capital Management and/or Financial Transformation
• Experience in HR domain (Hire to Retire, Talent Foundations, Total Rewards, Global Time & Absence, Payroll) OR in Finance (Record to Report, Source to Pay, Plan to Perform)
• Experience in multiple Integration technologies like MuleSoft and Workday integrations (Studio, Orchestrations, etc.)
• Experience managing global team working out of multiple time zones
• A related technical degree required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with agile/scrum methodology
