Job summary

Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH and Northern KY is seeking a Senior Manager of Social Services to lead the social work department, oversee program development, and ensure high-quality services for seniors. This full-time role emphasizes strategic planning, staff supervision, and collaboration with internal teams and community partners.

The position requires an MSW with advanced licensure, OH licensure with possible KY licensure, and substantial experience in aging services.

Qualifications

• MSW with advanced state licensure is required.
• Independent licensure with supervision distinction in Ohio preferred.
• Willingness to obtain Kentucky social work license is required/encouraged.
• Significant experience in social work practice including direct service, supervision, management and program development.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of aging field, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with varied staff levels.
• Proficiency with software programs including electronic health records.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor social work staff, students and managers; set performance standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate social work programs and services.
• Contribute to strategic plans for social work services in alignment with organizational goals.
• Participate in budget development and management for social work programs.
• Monitor and improve the quality of social work services and implement changes.
• Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and community organizations to provide comprehensive services.
• Identify training needs and implement professional development for staff.
• Represent the organization in community settings and build external relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
