Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Senior Manager, Schedule & Sequencing to lead development, management, and optimization of schedules for data center construction projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient sequencing, on-time delivery, and risk mitigation aligned with business goals.

The role requires 8+ years in project scheduling, strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and a solid grasp of construction sequencing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project scheduling and construction project management, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and best practices.
• PMP, PMI-SP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop programmatic standards supporting comprehensive, resource-loaded project schedules that outline activities, milestones, approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other deliverables.
• Implement and refine scheduling best practices, process controls, and performance measurement techniques.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements and scheduling technologies to improve scheduling processes.
• Establish standards and train teams to maintain logical scheduling sequences, durations, and resource allocation.
• Train teams to perform schedule analysis (Time Impact Analysis) and mitigate risks.
• Assist in developing internal controls to measure progress and verify project information accuracy.
• Leverage engineering, procurement, and construction knowledge to maintain critical path logic networks.
• Identify and provide solutions to complex project control challenges while ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Collaborate with project teams, field personnel, and clients to generate reports and track progress.
• Facilitate in-person discussions to address status, conflicts, constraints, and milestone reporting.

Your expertise in construction sequencing and progress, scheduling, resource management, and project controls will be essential in driving successful project execution and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop programmatic standards supporting comprehensive, resource-loaded project schedules that outline key activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other essential project deliverables.




• Implement and refine scheduling best practices, process controls, and performance measurement techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy across projects.




• Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging scheduling technologies, and innovative methodologies to continuously improve scheduling processes for data center construction.




• Establish standards and train project teams to maintain logical scheduling sequences, constraints, and realistic activity durations while accounting for industry standards, company benchmarks, manpower availability, and resource allocation.




• Train project teams to perform schedule analysis to assess potential project delays and impacts (Time Impact Analysis), providing recommendations to mitigate risks and support change management processes.




• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to measure project performance, monitor progress, and validate the accuracy of project-related information shared internally and externally.




• Leverage expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction methodologies to maintain critical path logic networks and incorporate historical data for more accurate future planning and forecasting.




• Identify, analyze, and provide strategic solutions to complex project control challenges, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to project objectives.




• Collaborate effectively with project teams, field personnel, and clients to generate accurate reports, track progress, and align project goals.




• Facilitate in-person discussions to proactively address project status, scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, sequencing challenges, and reporting key milestones to stakeholders and leadership teams.
