Job summary

The University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology seeks a Manager of Research Operations to oversee the Roybal Center for Promoting Adherence to Behavior Change and Enhancing Cognitive Function and the Motivation Laboratory, reporting to the Faculty Director. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience in project and operations management in a research setting.
  • Regulatory processes and compliance knowledge.
  • Financial management across multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with REDCap and strong communication/leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run regular center/lab meetings, including annual Roybal Center meetings and site visits.
  • Coordinate research activities across multiple projects using the Lab BrAIn system.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures and the lab's manual of operations.
  • Oversee IRB applications/reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in preparing reports to funders and track budgets across projects.
  • Collaborate with SoK HR on recruiting, onboarding, and training research staff.
