Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a mid-senior level leader for Regulatory Labeling & Industry Engagement to oversee NA labeling compliance and represent Nutrien in industry associations. You will lead a team, develop labeling policies, and drive digitalization and audit tracing across labeling programs.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with Legal, Government & Industry Affairs, and regulators. Remote work with travel up to 15% across North America is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biological or Environmental Science, Agronomy, Product Stewardship or related field is required
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in U.S. product registration (agricultural) for crop inputs
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisor or manager leadership role
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. labeling requirements, operating independently in proof-reading labels, locating errors, and implementing solutions to ensure accurate labeling is submitted
• Proven experience managing and leading a team to achieve results
• Effective interaction with regulators and working committees within a trade association
• Process-driven with strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Skilled at translating complex technical concepts for varied audiences
• Capable of exercising discretion and discernment in handling sensitive matters
• Demonstrated leadership through influence and strategic guidance
• Ability to travel 5% to 15% in North America
• Canadian or international crop input product registration experience is an asset
• MSc or PhD preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee labeling team development, maintenance, and compliance.
• Coach and develop staff, promote safety and autonomy.
• Develop internal policies for labeling compliance.
• Digitalize label creation and implement audit tracking.
• Manage labeling projects including EPA Spanish labeling requirements.
• Coordinate self-assessments and audits with Internal Audit and Regulatory.
• Foster safety and compliance in labeling operations.
• Lead industry engagement strategy for Regulatory & Stewardship.
• Collaborate to prioritize and track engagement activities.
• Represent Nutrien in industry associations and committees.
• Lead responses to requests for comments from authorities.
• Monitor evolving regulations affecting products.
• Maintain trackers for engagement and regulations.
• Drive compliance projects and reporting with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to Global Vision/Compass knowledge base.
• Model safety and contribute to safe work environment.
• Complete additional tasks to meet business needs.
