Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Manager, Purple Team Operations to lead and scale its threat-informed validation program within the OSFT organization. You will partner with Offensive Security, CSOC, Detection Engineering, Fraud Detection, and Cyber Threat Intelligence to improve detection, response, and resilience across the enterprise.

Success depends on driving adversary emulation aligned to MITRE techniques, developing roadmaps, and maturing the program through automation, testing methodologies,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with deep Purple Teaming and detection experience.
• 3+ years leading security teams or Purple Team programs.
• Experience translating findings into remediation and program improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Vanguard's Purple Team strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead a geographically distributed team of Purple Team operators.
• Oversee validation of detections, response playbooks, and investigative procedures.
• Partner with Offensive Security, CSOC, Detection Engineering, Fraud Detection, and TI teams.
• Establish metrics to demonstrate security improvements and report to leadership.
