Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior supply chain professional to lead EAC development, Earned Value management, and material strategies for defense programs. You will coordinate with PMs, Finance, IPTs, and suppliers to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met, and you will drive procurement execution and data integrity across programs.

Travel up to 30% may be required to support supplier engagement and program requirements, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and extensive supply chain background.
  • Experience with procurement, production control, and program cost management.
  • Strong knowledge of EVMS and earned value forecasting.
  • Experience with prime contract requirements and SSOWs.
  • Experience with supply chain planning tools (SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, analysis, and management of EACs for accurate forecast.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the development, analysis, and management of EACs (Estimate at Completion) to ensure accurate financial forecasting and tracking of program performance, including cost, schedule, and technical data.
  • Apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles to monitor program progress, assess performance metrics, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders for achieving program objectives.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies that align with program requirements and financial goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee the procurement execution and management of purchase orders for new contracts, ensuring supplier alignment with program schedules, cost objectives, and performance expectations.
  • Support supplier negotiations, ensuring procurement activities are executed accurately, on time, and within budget to meet critical program milestones.
  • Facilitate the seamless transition of supply chain responsibilities from the new contract team to the production execution team.
  • Provide program support, including material requirements planning (MRP) and master data management, ensuring timely and accurate inputs into the supply chain process to enable successful program execution.
  • Manage supplier relationships, addressing risk mitigation, tracking performance, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to program leadership on supply chain status, material constraints, EAC updates, and risk mitigation strategies during program startup and execution phases.
  • Support proposal efforts for new contracts by contributing to supplier strategies, cost estimates, and scope definitions for material-related tasks.
  • Drive accurate and timely financial management activities, including EACs, material sales forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with program financial expectations.
  • Provide issue resolution, fostering communication and collaboration across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure program success.
  • Travel domestically or internationally as needed (up to 30%) to support supplier engagement and program requirements.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant supply chain experience or an advanced degree and 7 years of prior relevant supply chain experience.
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
  • Experience managing program cost and schedule.
  • Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skillset.
  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning tool experience (i.e. SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS, etc.).
  • Experience with proposals or material estimating.
  • MPM Level 4 (or higher) Certification.
  • EVMS Certification.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and/or Financial forecasting.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
