Qualifications

  • 7+ years leading large, complex programs or enterprise projects.
  • Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams and multi-workstream programs.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Experience facilitating executive governance forums and senior reviews.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

This position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.

Position Summary

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology programs across Royal Caribbean Group's Global Enterprise Technology (GET) organization. This role provides leadership, governance, and execution oversight for strategic initiatives spanning multiple teams, functions, and technology domains. The Senior Program Manager serves as the central orchestrator across technology, operations, finance, business stakeholders, and vendor partners, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.

This role combines hands‑on program execution with PMO leadership responsibilities, helping mature delivery practices, governance standards, reporting frameworks, and program management methodologies across the organization. The ideal candidate is a results‑oriented delivery leader who drives accountability, manages complexity, mitigates risk, and enables successful business outcomes through disciplined program execution and stakeholder alignment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex, multi‑workstream technology programs across the Global Enterprise Technology organization.
  • Partner with technology, infrastructure, operations, finance, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and delivery outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain program governance structures, including steering committees, executive reviews, decision‑making frameworks, and escalation processes.
  • Develop integrated program plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across multiple teams and workstreams.
  • Facilitate enterprise planning, estimation, prioritization, and sequencing activities while aligning initiatives with business objectives and resource availability.
  • Drive scope definition, requirements alignment, trade‑off discussions, and delivery commitments across stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Manage program schedules, capacity planning, resource allocation, and interdependencies to ensure successful execution.
  • Track and report program performance, delivery health, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, financials, and capacity metrics using approved portfolio and project management tools.
  • Develop executive‑level reporting, dashboards, and status communications that provide transparency into program progress and outcomes.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program, operational, and delivery risks while driving timely issue resolution and recovery planning.
  • Own and manage change control processes, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and resource impacts are properly evaluated, approved, documented, and communicated.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional program synchronization meetings and governance forums to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Drive delivery excellence through consistent execution standards, governance practices, reporting structures, and operational discipline.
  • Contribute to the development and maturity of PMO methodologies, delivery frameworks, templates, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Monitor resource utilization, staffing needs, and team capacity across internal teams and external vendors, recommending solutions to address delivery constraints.
  • Forecast hiring, staffing, and vendor resource requirements necessary to support program objectives and delivery commitments.
  • Lead and mentor delivery teams by establishing clear expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting professional growth and development.
  • Own financial management activities for assigned programs, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, spend tracking, and benefits realization.
  • Partner with Finance and executive leadership to ensure financial transparency, effective investment management, and value realization.
  • Ensure program compliance with applicable organizational, regulatory, and technology governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and non‑technical stakeholders while serving as a trusted advisor and delivery partner.
  • Support organizational transformation initiatives, technology modernization efforts, and strategic programs that drive business growth and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 7+ years leading large, complex programs, strategic initiatives, or enterprise technology projects.
  • Proven experience managing cross‑functional delivery teams and multi‑workstream technology programs.
  • Strong experience in program governance, planning, prioritization, delivery management, and execution oversight.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial management, variance analysis, and benefits realization tracking.
  • Experience facilitating executive governance forums, steering committees, and senior leadership reviews.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Experience managing program risks, issues, dependencies, change control processes, and recovery planning activities.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments, including infrastructure, networks, platforms, applications, and operational systems.
  • Experience operating within fast‑paced, complex, and highly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Expertise with portfolio, project, and delivery management tools, including Workfront, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution and operational leadership.
  • Proven track record building strong partnerships across technology, operations, finance, vendors, and business functions.
  • Ownership mindset with the focus on accountability, execution excellence, and measurable business outcomes.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent project and program management certifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high‑performing delivery teams.
