This role is accountable for cost, quality, delivery, vendor performance and operational execution, while partnering cross-functionally to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Innovation
  • Partner closely with global sourcing offices, vendors and factories to drive production efficiencies, improve execution and support sourcing strategy across assigned businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead time, capacity and manufacturing processes; proactively recommend solutions that support margin, delivery and product objectives.
Operations and Results
  • Own and manage production orders from order placement through final shipment, ensuring purchase orders, quantities, costs, delivery dates and required production information are accurate and executed on time.
  • Manage vendor and factory performance across capacity, cost, quality, compliance and delivery; identify risks early, elevate issues appropriately and drive corrective action plans.

  • Manage production calendars and critical path milestones, setting clear expectations with vendors and cross-functional partners to ensure on‑time execution and delivery.
  • Ensure product meets established quality, testing, compliance and brand standards; partner with Quality Assurance and technical teams to identify root causes and implement solutions when issues arise.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex production, quality and technical issues, balancing product integrity, cost, timing and commercial requirements to achieve the best business outcome.
  • Manage costing and margin execution for assigned businesses, including vendor negotiations, cost validation, landed‑cost considerations and identification of cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining product and quality standards.
  • Manage capacity planning and vendor allocation in partnership with sourcing teams, Sales, Planning and Merchandising; assess production needs, factory capabilities, lead times and delivery priorities to support demand.
  • Plan and track shipment flow, including departures, arrivals and delivery risks; partner with Operations and Logistics on freight strategy, shipment prioritization and exception management to minimize delays and unnecessary freight expense.
  • Maintain accurate production reporting and systems data, providing clear visibility to leadership and cross-functional partners on order status, delivery, margin, risks and key production issues.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for vendors, factories and overseas partners; communicate expectations clearly, drive timely follow‑up and manage escalations through resolution.
  • Support new brand, vendor and product onboarding as needed, and lead or contribute to special projects and process‑improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Teams
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership, guidance and escalation support to production team members, helping prioritize workload and resolve complex issues.
  • Coach and develop junior team members through knowledge sharing, feedback and consistent production best practices.
  • Support the Director of Production with business reviews, reporting, vendor strategy, cross‑functional initiatives and department priorities as needed.
