Capital One seeks a Senior Manager, Process Management - Performance Marketing & Analytics to lead a cross-functional Well-Managed team in McLean/VA. You’ll drive audits, risk assessments, process improvements, and strategic programs across acquisitions, marketing and risk partners.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Build and advance the Well Managed agenda by setting the strategic direction and designing a roadmap of targeted initiatives that support our well-managed mission and mitigation of risks
  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing associates charged with managing audits/exams, risk assessments, PLA, business continuity, control evaluation, testing and builds as well as process management/improvement
  • Partner with risk management, event management and compliance teams to ensure breakdowns are contained, recovered/remediated, properly documented and future breakdown occurrences are prevented
  • Support our inbound and outbound acquisitions teams that focus on search engine and social media marketing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives to influence decision-making and alignment
  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations to senior leaders to guide informed discussions and influence decisions
  • Design and implement complex strategic programs and initiatives that enhance and strengthen our process foundations, including targeted support for an existing L2 Process and the creation of new L2 Processes
  • Collaborate with business leaders, Risk Managers, Audit, Legal, Compliance, and intent to connect dots and amplify outcomes
  • Gather insights from various routines, data sources, and partners to inform strategic priorities

Senior Manager, Process Management - Performance Marketing and Analytics The Performance Marketing and Analytics (PM&A) Well-Managed team is a newly created, but vital, cross-functional team dedicated to ensuring the marketing teams that support US Card acquisitions operate a well managed business through Process Level Assessments, Risk Management, Audit Support, Controls testing, Change Management, process documentation, risk assessments, and more. The team collaborates closely with support teams including Risk, Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Supplier Management, external third parties (including external affiliates), strategic intent partners, and more to maintain our commitment to process management excellence. As a Well-Managed Lead within the PM&A organization, you will lead a team of Process Managers, setting a forward-looking strategy that positions our organization to serve as the beacon of risk management. This role offers the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader of processes and associates who can interpret and effectively communicate trends and make recommendations to Senior Leaders. This candidate will strike a balance between strategizing, designing, and creating actionable roadmaps, comfortably navigating through ambiguity, leveraging data, and exercising exceptional judgment and critical thinking skills. Additionally, this role will support a specific strategic area of our business in the acquisitions space. In this role, the leader will build productive relationships through connecting the dots of business needs through consulting expertise.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 5 years of Project Management or Process Management Experience
  • At least 3 years of People Management Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • Six Sigma, Lean, Internal COF BPM, or PMP Certification(s) 6+ years of Project Management or Process Management Experience 4+ years of People Management Experience 4+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit Experience in leading cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization Experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients Experience in utilizing AI tools (such as Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) to create efficiencies in processes

McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr Manager, Process Management

Richmond, VA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
