Hybrid Work

HCVT currently offers a hybrid work model that allows eligible employees to work both remotely and in the office, based on business needs and team coordination. This role is ideal for senior manager and principal level candidates in tax ready to play a key role in high-net-worth (HNW) tax compliance and consulting services in our Fort Worth office.

Responsibilities

  • Client Service Excellence: Serve as a primary point of contact for high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, multi-generational families, and family offices, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Client Service Excellence: Provide a concierge approach to client service, offering proactive, year-round tax planning and strategic consulting tailored to their unique needs and goals
  • Client Service Excellence: Communicate complex tax matters in clear, understandable language, ensuring clients are informed and empowered to make sound financial decisions
  • Client Service Excellence: Manage client expectations and ensure all engagements are completed to the highest standards of quality and timeliness
  • Tax Expertise & Compliance: Oversee and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, trusts, estates, and gift tax filings (Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 709, 706)
  • Tax Expertise & Compliance: Conduct in-depth tax research, staying current on the latest developments in tax laws and regulations (federal, state, and local) to provide innovative solutions and ensure compliance
  • Tax Expertise & Compliance: Develop and implement tailored tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes, including estate and wealth transfer planning
  • Tax Expertise & Compliance: Represent clients in federal and state tax audits, preparing necessary correspondence and documentation
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, seniors, and staff accountants, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Team Leadership & Development: Plan and schedule engagements, monitor workflow, and manage engagement budgets and timelines effectively
  • Team Leadership & Development: Actively participate in the firm's growth by identifying new business opportunities and contributing to internal and external networking initiatives

To be successful, these are the skills, qualities and experience you will need:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation is a plus
  • CPA certification is required
  • 8+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a strong technical background in high-net-worth individual and related entity taxation
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing teams and workflows
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and detail-orientation
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., GoSystem) and other financial analysis tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
