Responsibilities

Why Gray?

Gray is a fully integrated design-builder delivering end-to-end solutions across construction, professional services, specialty equipment, and real estate. Our integrated approach allows us to deliver value at every phase of a project– from designing and building state-of-the-art facilities to fabricating custom process equipment and implementing advanced automation.

But what truly defines Gray is our people. Our success is driven by passionate, collaborative team members who take pride in their work, value strong relationships, and are committed to doing the right thing for our customers and one another. At Gray, you’ll find a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

“Personal growth precedes Gray’s growth.” – Stephen Gray, President & CEO, Gray, Inc.

What we expect

  • Evaluates opportunities early, using limited or evolving information to support Go / No‑Go decisions, pursuit strategy, and effective allocation of Gray resources.
  • Serves as a trusted Gray partner to customers, designers, and consultants, helping define scope, align assumptions, and establish confidence in Gray’s approach.
  • Partners closely with operations, design management, procurement, scheduling, and other Gray departments as needed, ensuring constructability, market awareness, and a seamless transition from pre-construction into execution.
  • Drives value management and risk assessment, identifying cost drivers, escalation exposure, constructability challenges, and schedule risks early in the process.
  • Provides clear, decision‑support pricing and analyses, communicating assumptions, ranges, confidence levels, and risk—not just numbers.
  • Leads, mentors, and holds pre-construction teams accountable, while contributing to continuous improvement of Gray’s preconstruction tools, processes, and standards.
