At Capital One, you'll be part of a big group of makers, breakers, doers, and disruptors who love to solve real problems and meet real customer needs.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Portfolio Delivery & Strategy to join the EPTech Top of House Team. We are looking for someone passionate about translating executive vision into actionable roadmaps, optimizing portfolio health, and balancing strategic priorities with execution capacity. In this exciting role, you will oversee a complex ecosystem of high-priority initiatives while maintaining a rigorous focus on technology risk and well‑managed delivery. From day one, you will own critical responsibilities for aligning cross‑functional strategies and collaborate with passionate, forward‑thinking peers to deliver exceptional results. This role offers the opportunity to partner with key leaders across the enterprise, push the boundaries of your strategic leadership, and excel alongside the brightest talent in the industry to turn big ideas into reality.

What You’ll Do:
  • Drive Portfolio Strategy: Lead the delivery of a highly complex portfolio for the EPTech Top of House by providing strategic direction to teams, peers, and direct reports. A key part of this will be to coordinate EPTech ETB creation and execution.
  • Drive Portfolio Automation: Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern technological tooling to automate routine portfolio processes, optimize reporting, and enhance data‑driven decision‑making across the delivery ecosystem.
  • Manage Roadmaps, Intake & Capacity: Define EPTech intake process and review and scope out intakes for clarity into the work. You will also handle the facilitation of tower level prioritization and capacity management.
  • Mitigate Technology Risk: Champion a risk‑aware culture by proactively managing risks and impediments. You will ensure that security and compliance considerations are tightly integrated into the delivery lifecycle.
  • Establish Governance: Ensure robust portfolio governance and manage cross‑workstream alignment through the facilitation of Dependencies and by leading Quarterly PI Planning readouts.
  • Align Execution with Intent: Leverage strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to ensure all portfolio initiatives strictly align with overarching business intent by driving OKR Reviews (at the tower level and EPTech).
  • Act as a Thought Partner: Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to executive sponsors and cross‑functional leaders to drive seamless, value‑driven delivery across the organization.
  • Influence at Scale: Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence senior stakeholders on portfolio health, capacity, technology risk posture, and prioritization tradeoffs.
  • Optimize Frameworks: Quickly implement clear Lean/Agile portfolio management frameworks to create structure, transparency, and visibility across complex, interdependent workstreams.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 8 years of Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • 9+ years of Project Management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
