Job summary

Cytiva in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, seeks a Senior Finance Manager, Plant Controller, to partner with Operations and lead site financial results. You’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, standard costs, and variance analysis, while ensuring SOX controls and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted partner for Site Management, delivering accurate budgeting and forecasting for the site.
• Lead cost accounting, inventory controls, and standard cost updates with clear commentary.
• Prepare month-end close, variances, productivity, headcount, and Capex reporting.
• Support capital requests, monitor Capex, and coordinate audits and SOX activities.
• Coach and develop one direct report and drive continuous improvement.
• Assess risks of excess/obsolete inventory and drive reductions.

The Senior Finance Manager, Plant Controller, Fajardo will serve as the primary finance business partner for Operations and along with the Fajardo Site Leadership team will have ownership and accountability for the financial results of the operations on site.
This position reports to the Finance Director, Filtration Operations and is part of the Filtration Operations finance team. The position is located in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and will be an on-site role.

What You Will Do

• Be a trusted advisor and Business Partner for Site Management providing analysis, recommendations, ensure sound financial decision making and have the skillset to build a strong partnership with Operations team. In part, this is achieved through accurate preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast in partnership with Site Operations team while also coordinating the annual standard cost update and perform an annual impact analysis for the site
• Support Site Operations team in delivering annual cost reduction objectives (productivity, cost of quality/VAVE, PPV), capital request analysis and cost management while also overseeing cost accounting procedures and inventory control policies, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance whilst driving inventory reductions.
• Enforce Inventory control policies, cycle counting etc and ensure accurate reporting and compliance whilst driving inventory reductions and/or turns improvements.
• Prepare timely month end close Financial and Operational reporting to include; Manufacturing variances, Costs/Absorptions, Productivity, Headcount, Inventory, Capex and Labor Utilization with clear and articulate commentary.
• Support capital request analysis and business case preparation. Closely monitor capital expenditure, ensuring controls and processes are adhered to, assessing for any financial risk or adjustments required, and ensuring that "assets under construction" are capitalized in a timely and accurate manner. Support internal SOX audit and external audit requests and coordinate ad-hoc analytics based on Site and business needs.
• Lead, coach and develop one direct report and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and business partnership with site leadership. Ensure the team delivers high-quality analysis and decision support to stakeholders.
• Support regular risk assessment on excess and obsolete.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required, 10+ years strongly preferred
• In depth cost accounting knowledge, emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls and familiarity with ERP systems (production modules a large benefit)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Limited travel to global offices may be required (1-2 times per year)
