Job summary

OCP is seeking a Manager of Permissions & Royalties to drive copyright data integrity and revenue across its Music Publishing division. You will oversee contract development, licensing with composers, publishers and third parties, and supervise teams handling permissions and royalties.

You’ll help implement AI tools, train users, and ensure compliance with industry standards and rates. Based in the United States, this role partners with Legal, Label Group and Shared Services to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Music or Technology.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in detail-oriented work.
• Experience and proficiency with Excel and database management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of U.S. copyright law.

Responsibilities

• Proactively seek opportunities for increasing copyright revenue and expanding reach.
• Represent OCP within the publishing administration industry and with stakeholders.
• Maintain accuracy of copyright data across systems and platforms.
• Supervise personnel performing permissions, contracts and royalty functions.
• Establish processes for timely entry of contract and copyright data.
• Supervise administration of Master Lease, Producer, Author and other contracts.
• Review royalty reports for contract alignment and reasonableness.
• Collaborate with departments to update processes for notifications, handoffs and validation.
• Serve as subject matter expert in royalties and permissions for new ideas and projects.
• Coordinate with legal on IP protection matters.
• Manage the Contract and Royalty Administration Budget.
• Establish KPIs and support dashboards; design/implement related tools.
• Test and oversee new systems, including AI, with training for users.
• Identify and implement industry-standard practices.
