Job description

Scribd, Inc. is on a mission to advance human understanding. Our four products — Scribd®, Slideshare®, Everand™, and Fable — help billions of people across the globe move beyond access and into insight, application, and expertise.

Culture at Scribd, Inc.

We support a culture where our employees can be real and be bold; where we debate and commit as we embrace plot twists; and where every employee is empowered to take action as we prioritize the customer.

We believe the best work happens when individual flexibility is balanced with meaningful community connection. Scribd Flex empowers employees to choose the workstyle and location that support their best performance, while committing to intentional in-person moments that strengthen collaboration and culture. Occasional in-person attendance is required for all Scribd, Inc. employees, regardless of location.

So what are we looking for in new team members? At Scribd, Inc., we hire for “GRIT.” Traditionally defined as the intersection of passion and perseverance toward long-term goals, GRIT reflects the mindset we expect from every employee. For us, it also serves as a practical framework for how we work: setting and achieving Goals, delivering Results within your role, contributing Innovative ideas and solutions, and strengthening the broader Team through collaboration and attitude.

This posting reflects an approved, open position within the organization.

We're looking for a results-oriented performance marketing leader to own how people find us across our family of products: Everand, Fable, and Scribd. Reporting to our Director of Growth, you'll set strategy across paid and organic discovery, leading a team of channel experts across paid search, paid social, affiliate, SEO, and LLMs to build an efficient, profitable acquisition engine across all three brands.

Responsibilities
  • Own strategy across paid and organic discovery: paid search, paid social, affiliate, SEO, and how we show up in LLM-driven search, setting that strategy in alignment with product and brand marketers. Allocate budget across performance channels to drive growth.

  • Manage and develop the team of channel owners, fostering a culture of learning and performance.

  • Lead attribution and reporting across paid and organic channels, using data-driven insights to reallocate spend and optimize return on investment continuously.

  • Partner with brand marketers on integrated campaigns, pairing brand storytelling with performance channels to drive awareness and acquisition together.

  • Work with creative to produce assets that drive strong engagement and conversion.

  • Test new and emerging channels beyond this core set, looking for market opportunities we haven't yet captured.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience running performance marketing channels, managing meaningful paid budgets in-house at a B2C company.

  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.

  • Strong understanding of best practices in digital marketing, particularly paid search, paid social, and affiliate. Working knowledge of SEO and LLM visibility.

  • Strong command of marketing unit economics and financial concepts such as LTV/CAC, with a solid understanding of marketing attribution and incrementality. Experience with Media Mix Modeling (MMM) is a plus.

  • Experience owning or evaluating marketing technology, such as ad management, SEO monitoring, or attribution tooling.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply data insights.

  • Comfortable using AI tools in everyday marketing work, from testing and reporting to creative production.

  • Solid understanding of creative best practices, with experience collaborating between marketing buying and creative teams.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working across a multi-brand portfolio.

  • Customer-obsessed mindset.
