Job description

Senior Manager, Performance and Learning

Department: Operations

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Austin, TX

Description

Powered by technology and compassionate design, Join Parachute has reimagined the plasma donation experience into one that is easier and friendlier. Using a simple app, our members can book donations and track earnings from the palm of their hand. In using a tech-forward approach, we're able to offer each member a highly personable and best-in-class experience that's consistent at each and every visit.

Our vision is to introduce an elevated plasma donation experience to markets with smaller populations that's grounded in convenience. This model allows us to positively impact the industry supply chain and help patients gain access to the medication they need.

This role leads the strategy, team, and technology behind training at Parachute. We're looking for a systems thinker who will instrument our programs with data, build feedback loops, and continuously improve how a fast-growing, distributed workforce learns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach a team of L&D Specialists/Managers who design and deliver training at the corporate and center level, and invest in their individual growth
  • Set the strategy for role-specific training across corporate and field roles, establish ramp-time benchmarks, and ensure consistent execution
  • Build a measurement framework that tracks the efficacy and ROI of every program, and use that data to improve what's working and retire what isn't
  • Own the learning technology ecosystem, including the LMS, content library, and learner analytics, along with vendor management and operational delivery
  • Identify where automation and AI can improve how training is built, delivered, and tracked, then implement those solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to spot gaps, translate business problems into measurable training strategies, and tie programs to commercial outcomes
  • Design leadership development programs across levels, from entry-level employees to senior leaders
  • Own compliance and regulatory training in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Quality, keeping programs current, auditable, and aligned with industry standards
  • Build programs that meet the standards of a regulated environment without losing the speed of a fast-growth startup
  • Own the training and development budget, including forecasting, allocation, and ROI accountability
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ruthless prioritization – You constantly rebalance the needs of your team to meet the dynamic needs of the business
  • Start Up Energy - You thrive in environments where processes are built while the plane is flying. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot strategies as fast as the market shifts.
  • Startup/hyper growth experience is required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8+ years of experience that has helped you build the capabilities required for this role (does not have to be training, instructional design, etc.), with a minimum of 3 years+ managing teams
