The Senior Manager, SEC &ExternalReporting is highly visible to finance leadership with primary responsibility for thepreparation of the Company'squarterlyand annualfilings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This personwillalso be significantly involved withall other aspects of the quarterly earnings process, includingreview of the press release, analysts' presentation and all supporting materials. This role will also encompass responsibilities for developing and implementing accounting policies, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting under various countries’ regulations, analysis of monthly financial results, and monthly calculations of earnings per share.
This individual reports through the Controllership organization, and works closely with the Controllership team, Financial Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Legal, Treasury, and Segment colleagues.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and coordination of all SEC financial filings, including the annual report on Form 10-K; quarterly reports on Form10-Q; proxy filings and miscellaneous reports onForm 8-K.
- Assistance with the preparation and review of all quarterly earnings materials.
- Coordination with external auditors (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in all aspects of their auditing and reporting of external reporting.
- Preparation ofvariousexternal reporting and regulatory filings with state, federal and international agencies including ESG reporting.
- Compliance with all aspects ofSarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls with respect to external reporting requirements.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for new accounting pronouncements and developing global accounting and reporting standards.
- Analyzing monthly financial results and resolving complex accounting issues.
- Assisting with external reporting accounting aspects of acquisition and divestiture projects – i.e. pro forma financial statements; significance tests.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Self-starter with high energy and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting requirements
- Strong attention to detail a must and precision to ensure accuracy of reporting
- Experience in preparing SEC filings
- Strong written communication skills in a style suitable for the filings and reports
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and question data and other inputs
- Strong organizational skills to ensure maintenance and integrity of data
- Ability to quickly evaluate processes and implement efficiencies
- Multi-tasking responsibilities
- Ability to guide and coordinate data collection efforts across multiple locations/departments
- Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays that coincide with quarterly earnings,SEC filings and annual report preparation
- Ability to identify and resolve reporting issues expediently to support the Company's accelerated closing process .
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience
- Including working knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements, and Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL)
- CPA - Certified Public Accountant
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Experience using Workiva software and/or Hyperion
- Experience with a Big Four or nationally-recognized accounting firm
- 3years of experience in Public Accounting.
- 3 years of experience with SEC and U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting
- 3 years of experience in assisting and preparing SEC filings
- Knowledge of due diligence objectives and procedures; experience working on acquisitions and divestitures; knowledge of purchase accounting rules and implementation issues.
This position may require occasional domestic travel, up to approximately 5% annually, based on business needs.
Salary Range: $140k - $165k/yearapproximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/org. location).
