The Senior Manager, Observability Data Platform Engineering is responsible for leading the strategy, engineering, operations, and continuous evolution of the enterprise Observability Data Platform that supports Operations, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Application, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams across the organization. As the engineering leader for the platform, the Senior Manager, Observability Data Platform Engineering oversees teams responsible for platform architecture, telemetry ingestion, data processing, platform reliability, performance optimization, automation, governance, user enablement, and technology lifecycle management. The Senior Manager, Observability Data Platform Engineering is accountable for delivering a secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient observability ecosystem that supports thousands of users and hundreds of data-producing systems enterprise-wide. The Senior Manager, Observability Data Platform Engineering partners closely with Product Management, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Application Engineering, Cloud Platform, and Enterprise Architecture leaders to define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap. This includes advancing observability capabilities that improve operational visibility, service reliability, engineering productivity, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership, product thinking, and operational excellence. The Senior Manager, Observability Data Platform Engineering brings proven experience leading enterprise-scale observability, data platform, cloud platform, or infrastructure engineering organizations, with a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, deliver complex platform modernization initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and translate business objectives into measurable engineering outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
