Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank seeks a Senior Manager of Nutrition Prescription Initiatives to lead Produce Rx programs and related nutrition services, driving access to healthy foods for people experiencing food insecurity. The role partners with hospitals, clinics, and community sites across DC/MD/VA to deliver home-delivered produce and medically supportive nutrition services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related field required.
• At least five years of progressively responsible nonprofit, healthcare, public health, or Food Is Medicine programs.
• Experience leading community programs and partnerships, supervising staff, and managing budgets.
• Experience with program evaluation and data interpretation.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, and growth of Produce Rx and other nutrition prescription initiatives.
• Set annual goals, performance measures, and operational plans; use results to improve programs.
• Develop standard procedures for enrollment, food distribution, home delivery, and outcomes tracking.
• Support strategies for sustainable funding, reimbursement, and payer partnerships.
