Abbott in Alameda, CA is seeking a Senior Manager of Mobile Engineering to lead a global team of iOS and Android engineers. This hands-on leader will contribute to the codebase, conduct code reviews, and set technical direction while mentoring engineers and shaping a strong engineering culture.
You will drive architecture reviews, manage hiring, and coordinate with Data Science and Backend teams to ensure seamless biosensor experiences.

THE OPPORTUNITY This Senior Manager, Mobile Engineering position works onsite in our Alameda, CA location for Lingo. As Senior Manager of Mobile Engineering at Lingo, you will lead a high-performing team of iOS and Android engineers responsible for delivering seamless, consumer-facing mobile experiences that bring our biosensing platform to life. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will actively contribute to the codebase, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and set the technical direction while also owning team performance, processes, and delivery outcomes. You are a player‑coach who builds trust through technical credibility and leads by example. You know how to cultivate a strong engineering culture—providing timely, actionable feedback, mentoring engineers at different levels, and stepping in to solve complex challenges when needed. You thrive in a fast‑paced, consumer health environment, where the products you ship directly impact how people understand and manage their health—and where both quality and speed to market are critical. This role is primarily focused on native mobile development (iOS and Android), driving best practices in performance, scalability, and user experience. Experience with React Native is a plus, but not required.

The base pay for this position is $148,700.00 – $297,300.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
