Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Sr. Manager of Medical Informatics within the UM Analytics team to lead analytics for Prior Authorization and Concurrent Review. You will translate priorities into analytical strategies, drive performance insights, and guide affordability and quality improvements.

This role requires strong experience in healthcare analytics, people leadership, and regulatory knowledge, with a focus on utilization management outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and relevant healthcare analytics experience.
• 8 years of prior relevant experience in a medical informatics position
• 4 years of people management experience with direct reports
• Experience with HIPAA and California health data privacy requirements is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for Prior Authorization, Concurrent Review, and broader UM analytics.
• Translate clinical and operational priorities into actionable analytical strategies.
• Inform executive decision-making, affordability, quality, and member outcomes across lines of business.
• Strengthen organizational understanding of utilization and authorization performance.
