Job summary

LA28 is assembling a world-class operations team in Los Angeles for the Main Press Center, providing leadership for venue planning, design, and operations ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. You will coordinate with designers, construction partners, and internal teams to ensure all media facilities are ready for the world’s journalists.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale events, strong stakeholder management, and ability to lead diverse teams under tight timelines,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 7+ years supporting large-scale event planning, venue operations, or facilities coordination.
• Experience with basic construction, venue fit-out, or overlay processes.
• Proven experience leading, training, and managing diverse teams in time-critical delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of relationships across partners, consultants, and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end venue planning and spatial design for the Main Press Center, liaising with designers and venue construction teams.
• Coordinate press services across Transportation, Security, Technology, Accreditation and IOC partners.
• Develop SOPs, lead readiness activities, track milestones, and mitigate delivery risks.
• Direct daily Main Press Center operations during the Games, resolving issues in real time for thousands of media.
• Recruit, train, and lead a collaborative team of staff, international specialists, and volunteers.
• Ensure media infrastructure meets requirements and integrates services across the organization.
