Wonder, a mealtime platform with multiple brands, seeks a Senior Manager, Lease Accounting in New York. This hands-on role leads lease accounting, maintains abstracts, and ensures ASC 842 compliance while coordinating with Real Estate, Legal, and AP for timely data and reporting.

You will oversee month-end close, implement improved workflows, and support internal/external audits. Strong data skills and ERP experience are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with lease accounting.
• Hands-on experience with major lease accounting software (CoStar, LeaseQuery, Tango Analytics).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SQL/BigQuery databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including posting journal entries and reconciliations for lease and related accounts.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, and Accounts Payable to gather accurate lease data timely.
• Review and validate lease abstracts: term, rent commencement, renewal options, incentives.
• Assist with implementing internal lease accounting processes across entities.
• Develop and maintain methodology for calculating and supporting IBRE.
• Lead review and audits of annual CAM statements.
• Support audits by providing schedules and disclosures for lease accounts.

This role is a hands-on individual contributor position within the lease accounting team, managing all aspects of lease accounting – including the maintenance of lease administration software, financial reporting, and the application of technical accounting guidance. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in lease accounting standards, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various business partners to ensure accurate and compliant lease reporting.
