Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Senior Manager, IP Validation to oversee monthly IP IBNR estimates, inpatient spend validation, and timely financial reporting. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.

You will lead financial analyses, develop standardized review processes, interpret results for senior management, and prepare budgets and forecasts for IP claims and authorizations, mentoring staff and guiding strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of accounting, financial analysis or finance related experience.
• Previous management experience including hiring, training, and performance management.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly IP IBNR estimates and inpatient spend validation.
• Collaborate with Utilization Management to validate data and establish recurring validation processes.
• Develop and maintain standardized review processes and reporting for IP spend and budget variances.
• Oversee preparation of accurate financial reports for IP spend.
• Interpret financial reports for senior management and recommend actions.
• Prepare budget and forecast for IP claims and authorizations.
• Monitor legislative and political developments affecting the business unit from a financial perspective.

Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J -1, OPT, or CPT.• Prepare and maintain monthly estimates of inpatient incurred but not reported (IP IBNR) expenses.• Collaborate with the Utilization Management team to review inpatient authorization data and establish a recurring validation process that ensures data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.• Develop and maintain standardized review processes and reporting for inpatient spend, including analyses of key drivers contributing to budget and forecast variances.• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for IP spend. • Oversee the financial and business analyses based on information from various sources and financial reports • Interpret financial reports for management team • Review and evaluate analyses and recommend appropriate actions to senior management • Prepare budget and forecast and analyze financial results related to expectations for IP claims and authorization. • Monitor legislative and political developments affecting the business unit from a financial perspective**Education/Experience:** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of accounting, financial analysis or finance related experience. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff. Experience in public accounting, operations, financial analysis preferred.
