Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, the Manager/Senior Manager will have a dual role in Investor Relations and Global FP&A. This role will provide analytical and strategic support to both the Investor Relations team and the Global FP&A team. Key Investor Relations responsibilities include maintaining a detailed summary of sell-side estimates, providing support throughout each quarterly earnings cycle, performing competitive analysis and planning key Investor Relations events and activities. In addition, this person will serve as a key member of the Global FP&A team working on a variety of activities such as supporting the annual operating plan and long range plan processes, performing ad-hoc analysis and developing models and presentations to support deliverables for our executive team.

This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various senior leaders. The successful candidate will learn core business processes and develop financial models and presentations for senior management.

Detailed Position Responsibilities:
  • Support SVP of Investor Relations in developing and owning the full set of quarterly earnings support materials, including the earnings call script, earnings release, Q&A preparation and investor presentation, while working with leadership to sharpen messaging.

  • Maintain sell-side analyst relationships and models, tracking estimate summaries that measure analyst expectations against internal estimates across key financial metrics.

  • Partner with SVP of Investor Relations and executive team to coordinate key Investor Relations events and activities.

  • Work across Finance, Legal, Controllership and Business Line teams to extract key themes and surface actionable insights.

  • Keep a close pulse on competitor financials and notable events, as well as provide strategic analysis comparing results across company peer set.

  • Partner with the Global Finance team on ad-hoc analysis and deliverables across a range of strategic and operational lenses

  • Track movements in the company’s shareholder base and turn the themes into targeting recommendations and updates for senior management and the Board.

  • Provide commentary on SEC filings, confirming the financial data is accurate and tightening how key messages and performance metrics are presented.

  • Maintain the Investor Relations website so disclosures, presentations and press releases stay up to date.

Skills / Abilities:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related applications

  • Experience with enterprise financial systems

  • Prior experience with forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis

  • Prior experience with Investor Relations a plus, but not required

  • A positively curious attitude to look beyond the face of the financials to search for answers

  • Ability and courage to challenge status quo

  • Ability to operate under challenging time constraints, and the ability to address multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Comfortable working within a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to perform open ended analyses in a fluid environment where answers are not always obvious

  • Ability to communicate complex financial events in layman terms, in a clear and concise manner

  • Attention to detail is a critical factor for success in this role

  • Ambitious and motivated self-starter

  • Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience:
  • 6+ years broad-based and progressive experience in finance roles

  • Prior FP&A, Investment Banking or Big 4 Consulting experience is a strong plus
