Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, International Tax Services to advise clients on the tax implications of business objectives and to market and develop the practice regionally. The role leads international tax discussions, ensures compliance, and drives client relationships with strong analytical and communication skills.

The position calls for extensive expertise in U.S. international tax, collaboration with the National Tax Office, and supervision of staff across engagements.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) or more years of experience in corporate tax, international taxation, or legal professional services, required
• Experience in international tax, required
• Experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, required
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) (or the equivalent of one of these designations), required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Lexis Nexis and Westlaw preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends and implements practical U.S. international tax planning for client situations, including restructurings and cross-border strategies
• Identifies and resolves complex taxation issues by applying multiple tax specialties
• Communicates complex technical matters to clients and audiences to ensure understanding
• Continues to develop understanding of U.S. international tax concepts and monitors legislative developments
• Manages international tax services for assigned clients, including pricing structures
• Identifies opportunities for tax alerts and collaborates with National Tax Office
• Exhibits thought leadership and acts as go-to person in international tax
• Supervises day-to-day workload, provides performance feedback and mentors staff
