Senior Manager, Instructional Design ($117,000.00 - $150,800.00)

This role focuses on creating and implementing effective learning solutions that drive performance improvement for the Apartment Operations division. This designer will be responsible for leading the full instructional design lifecycle, from proactively analyzing business needs and collaborating with subject matter experts, to designing and developing a wide range of learning solutions. A key part of this position is mentoring and leading a team to elevate our L&D practices.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the full instructional design lifecycle, from needs analysis through evaluation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to design and develop a range of impactful learning solutions.
  • Develop engaging learning solutions, including courses (ILT, vILT, eLearning), hands-on skill labs, and performance support tools.
  • Mentor and coach team members on modern L&D practices.
  • Prepare and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to ensure consistent program delivery.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a comprehensive learning library and ecosystem.
  • Manage team members' day-to-day responsibilities and professional development.
  • Audit and evaluate existing learning programs to ensure quality and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Education & Experience

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a similar L&D role.
  • Experience designing and developing solutions across various modalities (e.g., eLearning, ILT/vILT, job aids, video, blended learning).

Other

  • Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools, such as the Articulate Suite and Camtasia.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $117,000.00 - $150,800.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
