Job summary

The American Cancer Society is seeking a results-driven professional to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of a $400,000+ event fundraising portfolio, driving revenue through donor, sponsor, and volunteer leadership engagement while moving constituents through the donor pipeline to increase long-term engagement and impact.

This is a remote role, but the ideal candidate will sit within a commutable distance to Richmond, VA, and will coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2 years successful experience in fundraising and relationship development.
• Strong project management and event execution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent donor and community engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Builds and manages relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers and partners to achieve revenue goals and grow engagement.
• Leads planning and execution of event fundraising activities including logistics, budgets, vendor coordination, and experience delivery.
• Develops and executes strategies to grow revenue, participation, and donor pipeline.
• Aligns participants and partners to broader engagement opportunities to deepen impact.
• Monitors performance against goals and adjusts strategies to optimize revenue and ROI.
• Coordinates cross-functional partners to ensure successful event delivery and brand alignment.
