DP World has an opening for a Senior Manager, Health and Safety. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States with estimated travel being 50-70%.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Identify, develop, and maintain company health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with all current legislation for the assigned country(s). Perform monthly safety inspections and maintenance.
2. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to dangerous goods and electric vehicles, including the development and implementation of handling, storage, and inspection protocols.
3. Represent the company at external audits on all health and safety matters; ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to address findings and complaints in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
4. Design and develop written health and safety procedures; monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws, or reporting requirements. Provide technical safety and health support and information to all employees.
5. Coordinate risk assessment activities including record keeping; analyze risk assessment, near-miss, and accident data to present to senior management; develop long-term strategies to reduce accidents based on data.
6. Investigate accidents, gather all documentation in line with company policies, compile documentation related to insurance claims, and liaise with insurance companies, solicitors, and other related organizations.
7. Develop & deliver safety training programs to reduce workplace accidents and incidents, including assessment of training activities; administer mandatory safety training for all new hires, contractors, visitors, and transferred employees.
8. Represent the company at internal safety meetings, customer or supplier safety meetings, presenting data, recording actions, and monitoring progress.
9. Work with operational teams to improve the working environment and reduce impacts from operational activities; recommend safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards.
10. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; review plans for new machinery, equipment, or processes to ensure safety requirements are met; manage documentation related to material handling equipment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health preferred, with certification in the respective country for health, safety, and environment.
2. 5+ years experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment; experience in developing and administering safety programs.
3. Familiarity with country-specific safety standards including OSHA, ISO, and internal audit qualifications; understanding of DOT compliance and EPA regulations.

Compensation: Expected hiring range is $110,000 - $130,000. This reflects current national data; actual pay depends on skills, experience, and location. DP World offers a broad benefits package including health, life, and voluntary benefits. The position may be eligible for incentives or sales compensation.
