Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Senior Manager Rankings & Awards to lead the firm’s participation in key legal directories and publications. You will strategize, evaluate, and manage submissions and relationships with directories, researchers, and stakeholders worldwide.

You will oversee the Rankings & Awards team, coach staff, and coordinate cross-department submissions while ensuring accurate tracking and reporting for leadership. Strong writing and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
• 10+ years of related work experience.
• 3+ years of managerial experience.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Training, coaching and presentation skills.
• Excellent research skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead participation in key legal directories and rankings to increase firm and lawyer recognition.
• Liaise with directory management and researchers to optimize submissions.
• Advise on preparing submissions, client references and interviews aligned with strategy.
• Manage resources and submissions efficiently using research and best practices.
• Communicate the firm’s strategy on directories and awards to stakeholders.
• Oversee global research calendars, submissions, references and interviews.
• Coordinate cross-practice submissions with firm management and committees.
• Track results in LexTrack for real-time reporting to leadership.
• Provide leadership and coaching to the Rankings & Awards team, including HR-related tasks.
