Job summary

Zocdoc, a leading digital health marketplace, is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A in New York. You will partner with R&D and Operations, lead budgeting and forecasting, and influence strategic decisions with top leaders.

The role offers a hybrid Soho-area work model and a competitive NYC base salary in the six-figure range. You will coach a finance team, build robust analyses, and drive improvements in planning and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a financial analytical role such as strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or accounting.
• 5+ years FP&A or a comparable finance role in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years managing people, including developing contributors and owning outcomes.
• Strong business partnership experience with senior functional leaders, ideally in R&D or Operations.
• Expertise in financial modeling and reporting with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and delivery.
• Experience with FP&A systems and tools such as Planful or similar is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong influencing and collaboration skills across functions and levels.
• Industry exposure in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A partnership across R&D and Operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investments.
• Partner with functional leaders to understand drivers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide resource allocation.
• Own planning and forecasting rhythm for supported functions, including timelines and inputs.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting priorities and elevating analytical quality.
• Monitor performance vs forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Translate complex questions into analyses and actionable recommendations for Finance and non-Finance audiences.
• Support strategic planning processes and evaluate investments and initiatives.
• Improve planning processes, team workflows, and reporting for consistency and efficiency.
• Translate priorities into clear team plans and manage competing demands.
• Lead ad-hoc analyses for leadership priorities and ensure quality.

Your impact on our mission

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Senior Manager, FP&A to support Zocdoc’s R&D and operations teams. In this role, you will use financial and operational insights to guide investment, headcount, and performance decisions. You will partner closely with functional leadership to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and operating efficiency. Your day to day is…

• Lead FP&A business partnership across R&D and Operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investment decisions

• Monitor performance against forecasts and targets, proactively identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions where needed, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
• Translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses, insights, and recommendations for Finance and non‑Finance audiences
• Support strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments, prioritize initiatives, and align decisions with company goals
• Improve planning processes, team workflows, and reporting approaches to increase consistency, efficiency, and decision usefulness
• Translating departmental and Finance priorities into clear team plans; managing competing demands by setting expectations, monitoring progress, and addressing risks early
• Leading ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership priorities, directing the work of individual contributors and ensuring quality and rigor

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…
