Job summary

FINITETEK INC. seeks a Senior Manager – Forensic Accounting to lead engagements involving construction accounting, auditing, and complex litigation matters.

You will analyze project costs, budgets, and WIP, and prepare professional reports for attorneys and clients. The role requires deep knowledge of construction financials, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction accounting and/or construction auditing.
• Strong understanding of construction financials including job costing, WIP, budgets, contracts, change orders, subcontractors, profitability, cost analysis.
• Experience with forensic accounting, litigation support, construction claims, damages analysis, insurance claims, fraud/fidelity matters, or related consulting work.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CFE, CFF or other designation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, professional analyses and reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting/financial systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys, clients, internal teams.]

• Apply construction accounting/auditing knowledge to evaluate project financial information.
• Analyze costs, job costing, budgets, contracts, change orders, WIP, profitability.
• Investigate and quantify damages and economic impacts when applicable.
• Review records to identify discrepancies, trends, and issues.
• Develop detailed analyses and prepare clear, well-supported reports and workpapers.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and professionals to understand issues.
• Assist with construction claims, disputes, insurance losses, fraud/fidelity matters, and related investigations.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines with accuracy.
• Mentor junior and mid-level professionals.
• Explain complex accounting concepts to financial and non-financial audiences.
• Participate in client meetings and deposition/arbitration/trial-related matters.
