Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an accomplished finance leader to partner with Investments and Product teams in Maryland. You will drive driver-based models, build scalable analyses, and deliver executive reports and dashboards for senior leadership.

The role requires 8+ years in asset management or financial services, strong communication, and a track record of leading and developing teams. Expect collaboration across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant work experience.

• Experience leading and developing teams, coaching talent and driving performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Investments and Product organizations.
• Coordinate with Accounting and business partners on actual results, budgets, and forecast activities.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries.
• Distill complex issues into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning for the Investments organization.
• Perform in-depth analysis of business unit financials to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform P&L analysis incorporating AUM and revenue components for senior leadership.
• Develop business cases and evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Conduct ROI-based, scenario, and sensitivity analysis to support resource-allocation decisions.
• Coach, mentor, and develop analysts; streamline processes and improve data integrity through automation.

• Ability to succinctly brief executive leadership and translate complex data into a clear narrative
• Experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services industry
• Experience preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive‑level summaries for senior management
• Experience with PowerBI or Tableau for creating dashboards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated success leading and developing teams, including coaching talent, driving performance, and fostering engagement
