Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Marine Capital Finance based on-site in Miami. You will own end-to-end capital planning for GMO across three brands, drive governance, and develop business cases for long-term capital roadmaps.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring SOX compliance while influencing senior stakeholders and shaping strategic investments for guest and crew experiences.

Qualifications

• Four-yearBachelor’sdegree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or other analytical field; MBA preferred.
• Typically eight+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, capital planning, and portfolio management.
• Strategic portfolio and program management expertise across performance, budget, schedule.
• Deep understanding of capital expenditure vs. operating expense accounting rules.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Strong organizational discipline and ability to manage ambiguity under deadlines.
• Provenpeople leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.
• Proficient with GAAP depreciation and asset disposition reporting.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; long-range planning experience.
• Experience using Power BI for executive dashboards and reporting; cruise ops knowledge a plus.

Position Summary:

This rolereports to theDirector ofGlobal Marine Operations (GMO)Finance andpartners withsenior leaders across Global Marine Operations (GMO)and Finance,to provide strategic financial leadership for enterprise capital programs and initiatives that advance marine performance, operational resilience, and long-range brand priorities in alignment with Company policies and governance requirements.

The Senior Manager, Marine Capital Finance, owns the end-to-end capital planning and governance process for GMO in all three Brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity and Silversea, providing strategic direction, rigorous financial oversight, and transparent reporting across a complex portfolio of projects. This leader drives portfolio prioritization, creates the analytical framework for investment decisions, and leads the development, challenge, and approval of business cases for the Company’s long-term capital roadmap. Core responsibilities include setting and managing annual capital budgets in partnership with GMO leadership and team; leading capital submissions through multi-level governance and committee approvals; and steering forecasts for capitalspend,depreciation, write-offs, and project-related operating impacts. The role also leads cross-functional problemsolving onhigh-visibility initiatives, proactivelyidentifyingrisks/opportunities, and elevates insights into clear recommendations for executive decision-makers. GMO Financial Management will provide specifics as to any brand-specific requirements that are different from or in addition to this core description.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead enterprise capital portfolio budgeting and forecasting; set annual planning calendar, driveconsolidationand prioritization of marine investment requests, and deliver monthly executive outlooks on performance vs. plan.
• Own capital governance and approval processes; partner with project leaders to shape business cases and financial projections, coordinate committee and executive reviews, and influence outcomes through fact-based recommendations and stakeholder alignment.
• Direct quarterly capital forecasting and scenario planning; refresh spend timing and in-service projections across all open projects,anticipateimpacts to write-off calculations, and communicate risks and trade-offs to Capital Planning and GMO/Brand leadership.
• Provide senior oversight of the quarterly in-service process and related SOX controls; ensure compliance, audit readiness, and disciplined documentation across the portfolio.
• Drive capital strategy and long-range planning; develop andmaintainthe multi-year capital roadmap, assess ROI and strategic fit, and recommend allocation decisions thatoptimizeperformance, resilience, and guest/crew experience outcomes.
• Establish portfolio management cadence with Project Owners; monitor execution, surface schedule/cost/scope variances early, and lead cross-functional resolution of critical issues.
• Lead advanced analytics and decision support for high-visibility, long-term strategic initiatives; apply critical thinking to challenge assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and frame clear options and recommendations.
• Develop executive-ready materials and narratives (decking, briefs, and talking points) for GMO and Brand leadership, translating complex analyses into concise decision insights.
• Ensure adherence to Company policies, financial controls, and reporting standards (SOX and other requirements) and drive continuous process improvement to increase transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
• Build and lead a high-performing capital finance team; hire, coach, and develop talent, set performance expectations, and provide day-to-day leadership while fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Provide ad hoc financial leadership and analysis asrequired, including rapid response support for emerging priorities and executive requests.
• Lead the financial architecture for capital investment decisions, including business cases, valuation approaches, and sensitivity/scenario analyses aligned to governance expectations.
• Provide consolidated portfolio reporting and insights (monthly and quarterly), highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions for executive stakeholders.
• Ensure rigorous execution of SOX and Company capital reporting requirements;maintainaudit-ready documentation and strengthen controls through continuous improvement.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Four-yearBachelor’sdegree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or other highly analytical field from an accredited college or university; MBA preferred.
• Typically,8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning/analysis, capital planning, business case development, and/or project/portfolio management, including demonstrated leadership of teams and cross-functional initiatives; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strategic portfolio and program managementexpertise; ability to define investment strategy, evaluate trade-offs, and drive outcomes across performance, budget, schedule, andscopeconstraints.
• Deep understanding of capital expenditure vs. operating expense accounting rules and implications for financial statements and performance management.
• Executive presence and outstanding written/verbal communication skills; ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Accounting, and cross-functional governance forums.
• Strong organizational discipline with proven ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• Provenpeopleleadership and team-building capability, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Proficient understanding and working knowledge of GAAP, as it relates to depreciation and disposition of fixed assets.
• Advancedproficiencywith MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and project/portfolio tools (e.g., MS Project); ability to automate, simplify, and elevate reporting and insights.
• Experience leveragingAI tools and applications to enhance reporting,insight generation, and decision support, while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance.
• Proven ability to use Power BI to build,maintain, and enhance dashboards and management reporting, including executive level visualizations
• Advanced analytical and critical-thinking skills, including long-term financial modeling, valuation, and the ability to challenge assumptions and synthesize insights into clear recommendations.
• Understanding of cruise line operations (hotel and technical), global deployment, and shipboard work environments is a plus.
