The position reports directly to the SVP of Finance, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director of Accounting.

The position requires a broad working knowledge of Accounting and Finance operations, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, asset liability management (ALM), and internal controls. The role provides additional leadership capacity and technical expertise to support the Director of Accounting and other Finance leaders during periods of increased workloads, absences, and evolving business needs.

The Senior Manager, Financial Operations and Controls also plays an important role in identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, leverage technology and automation, and enhance operational effectiveness. • Monitor accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), credit union policies, regulatory requirements, and established internal controls.
  • Partner with management to identify opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and ERP system enhancements to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities.

  • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills:
